    Geofence

A virtual perimeter around a physical location used to trigger events when a device enters or exits.

A geofence is a coordinate-based boundary drawn around a site, checkpoint, or restricted zone. When a mobile device crosses it, the system can log the event, trigger an alert, start a shift timer, or invalidate a checkpoint. Geofences are the foundation of location-verified security work.

    How SNTNL uses it

SNTNL geofences every post and checkpoint. Clock-in only counts when the officer is inside the site geofence; checkpoints only verify when the officer is within a configurable radius.
