What's an FTE?
FTE stands for full-time equivalent — one FTE represents 40 scheduled hours of coverage in a week, no matter how many actual guards it takes to cover those hours. SNTNL fixes this at 40 hours so every customer's price means the same thing, regardless of how any one organization defines "full-time."
The formula
FTE = total scheduled hours per week ÷ 40
Worked example
Say you run 8 guards, each averaging 20 hours a week. That's 160 scheduled hours ÷ 40 = 4 FTEs — even though you have 8 people on the roster. This is exactly why we don't price per user: a company with a lean full-time crew and a company with double the headcount on part-time schedules can land on the same FTE number — and pay the same price for the same coverage.
